The Studio JMH Half Stack Hendrix Edition is a limited release made in the UK that pairs the JMH Studio Head with the JMH 2x12 Cab. The head is an all-valve design with two channels that can be bridged, four instrument inputs with high and low sensitivity, and a switch that drops the output from 20W to 5W. It uses two EL34 power valves and three ECC83 valves in the preamp and phase splitter stages.
Controls cover Normal/Loudness II and High Treble/Loudness I inputs, plus treble, middle, bass and presence. A series effects loop with a switch is included. There are no built-in effects. The cabinet holds two 8Ω Celestion V-Type speakers rated at 70W each, giving 140W handling, and is aimed at vintage-style warmth with a balanced, articulate response.
The head has five 1/4" speaker jack outputs for 16Ω, 8Ω and 4Ω loads, plus a 1/4" jack DI output. The cab has a single input. The set comes in purple and black with psychedelic, celestial artwork. The head and cab are sold only as a pair, and purchases are limited to one per customer.
