The Monitor III A.N.C. is a closed-back, over-ear Bluetooth headphone with 32 mm dynamic drivers. Active noise cancelling measures ambient sound and reduces it, while Transparency mode lets outside sound back in. Dynamic Loudness adjusts the treble, mids and bass at different volumes, and Adaptive Loudness changes the tonal balance according to background noise. Soundstage spatial audio widens the sound into a virtual room, with two sliders for tailoring it to the listener.
Control is through a multidirectional knob for playback, volume, power, Bluetooth pairing and calls, plus a dedicated ANC button. The customisable M-button can switch between two EQ presets, trigger Spotify Tap or Soundstage, or call the phone's voice assistant. Settings are managed in the Marshall Bluetooth app. The design folds flat for the supplied hard carrying case, and spare parts are user-replaceable.
Wireless connection uses Bluetooth 5.3 with multipoint and is ready for Bluetooth LE Audio and Auracast. A USB-C to 3.5 mm cable allows wired listening. Playtime is 70 hours with ANC and 100 hours without, and a 15-minute quick charge gives 12 hours.
