Monitor II A.N.C. is a closed-back, over-ear pair of headphones with 40 mm dynamic drivers and hybrid wireless and wired use. Four microphones measure ambient noise, and the level of noise cancelling and the transparency (monitoring) setting can be adjusted in the Marshall Bluetooth app, which also holds equaliser settings and voice assistant setup.
Control is handled by a multi-directional knob for playback, volume and call functions, plus a programmable M-button that cycles through three equaliser presets or calls up a voice assistant. Battery life is up to 30 hours with Bluetooth and ANC, or up to 45 hours with Bluetooth only. A 15-minute quick charge gives up to 5 hours of playback, and a full charge takes about 2 hours.
The headphones connect to phones, tablets and computers over Bluetooth 5.0, or through a removable 3.5 mm cable to any device with a headphone output. The headband has metal swivel hinges and the earcups fold for transport. A USB-C charging cable and a canvas carrying bag are supplied, and firmware can be updated over the air.
