Major V is a foldable on-ear headphone with 40 mm dynamic drivers and a Marshall-tuned sound. It runs wirelessly for more than 100 hours per charge, and a 15-minute quick charge adds about 15 hours. It can be recharged by USB-C cable or by resting it on a wireless charging pad.
A control knob handles playback, and a customisable M-button can be set to Spotify Tap, EQ settings or the voice assistant through the Marshall Bluetooth app. The app also provides personal EQ, firmware updates and a battery preservation mode that limits charging to 90%. Bluetooth multipoint is supported, and the headphones are described as ready for Bluetooth LE Audio and Auracast. There is no active noise cancellation and no water resistance rating.
Connection is by Bluetooth 5.3 (SBC, AAC and LC3 codecs) or by the supplied 3.5 mm cable, which gives a wired option with input and output. Batteries and other parts are user-replaceable or serviceable through authorised repair centres, depending on market.
