Heddon

Heddon receives music over Wi-Fi and distributes it to compatible Marshall home speakers using Auracast, so the same track plays in step as you move between rooms. Streaming goes through Google Cast, AirPlay, Spotify Connect or Tidal Connect, which means playback continues if the phone takes a call and does not use the phone's battery. Anyone on the same Wi-Fi network can control the music.

An RCA input accepts a record player or other analogue source, though some turntable models need a separate preamp. An RCA output lets earlier-generation Marshall speakers, such as Homeline I and II, join the same listening group. Auracast can serve as many compatible speakers as needed within range, with longer range and less compression than standard Bluetooth.

Setup is done once through the Marshall app. The unit is a compact 120.5 x 120.5 x 42 mm black box that runs from mains power at 100-240 V. New features are planned through software updates, with a minimum two-year support period for updates.
