The Bluesbreaker Vintage Reissue is a stompbox overdrive based on the original Marshall Bluesbreaker pedal, which in turn drew on the tone of the 1962 Bluesbreaker amplifier. It is a low-gain design that aims for organic, warm drive with natural colour, breaking up earlier and adding some sweetness, crispness and edge to help solos stand out.
Three controls shape the sound: gain, tone and volume. The pedal is assembled by hand at Marshall's Bletchley factory in the UK and uses a mild steel chassis. It comes in a black and blue finish.
Connection is straightforward, with one 1/4" jack input and one 1/4" jack output. Power comes from a 9V battery or a 9V DC power adaptor, and the adaptor is not supplied. The unit weighs 0.7 kg without a battery.
