The 1959 Handwired is a re-issue of the classic Marshall Super Lead head, built by hand at the maker's factory in Bletchley, England. It is an all-valve design with a 100W output stage using four EL34 power valves, and two ECC83 preamp valves plus an ECC83 phase splitter.
The amp has two bridgeable channels, each with high and low sensitivity inputs, giving four 1/4" instrument inputs in total. Blending the two voices lets the player shape their own sound. Tone is controlled with Volume I, Volume II, treble, middle, bass and presence. There are no built-in effects and no effects loop.
Two 1/4" speaker outputs connect extension cabinets, with a selectable load of 16Ω, 8Ω or 4Ω. The head is finished in black, weighs 21.4 kg and ships with a detachable power cable.
