631· Amplificadores

The № 631 is the top model among the 600 Series amplifiers. It is a single-channel (monaural) design using a fully discrete, fully balanced signal path built on the maker's Pure Path circuit approach. The circuit runs in Class A/AB with a selectable high-bias mode, and relies on little feedback and a high bias current to keep distortion low and bandwidth wide.

Inside, a centrally placed, structurally isolated toroidal transformer feeds an ultra-low-noise linear power supply. The floorstanding chassis is modular, separating the sensitive low-level analog circuitry from the supply, with key parts on rubber mounts and vibration-damping isolated feet. The aluminum and steel body is anodized black with a silver plinth, a glass centre panel with red accent lighting on the front, and a glass top element with ventilation and heat sink side panels.

For connection it has one balanced XLR input and one single-ended RCA input, plus two pairs of Hurricane binding posts for the speakers. Two 3.5 mm trigger connectors (one input, one output) and a USB-A port for service use are also fitted.
