The CD6007 plays CD and CD-R/RW discs as well as audio files from a USB memory device connected to the front panel. Supported file formats include WAV, MP3, AAC, WMA, FLAC, ALAC, AIFF and DSD. A JTL-101Y transport reads the discs, and a multi-bit delta-sigma D/A converter handles conversion at up to 192 kHz/24-bit, with two selectable digital filters for CD playback.
The analogue section uses HDAM and HDAM-SA2 circuits in the low-pass filter and output buffer. A separate rectifier circuit feeds the analogue and digital sections, and an extra metal plate stiffens the chassis. The front panel has a headphone output with its own level control, and the display can be dimmed or switched off. Programmed playback of up to 25 tracks, repeat and random modes are included.
Analogue output is on a pair of gold-plated RCA sockets. There is also one coaxial and one optical digital output, plus a D-Bus connector for system control. The unit comes with the RC004PMCD remote, a detachable mains cable and an auto-standby function, and it is offered in black or silver-gold.
