The Oxygen 49 MK IV combines a 49-note synth-action keyboard with eight velocity-sensitive pads, eight assignable knobs and nine assignable faders. Dedicated transport buttons and track up/down buttons let you start, stop and record in a DAW without using the mouse, and an LCD screen shows parameter values as you change them.
DirectLink maps the controls automatically to the mixer, editor and transport functions of supported DAWs, including Ableton Live, Pro Tools, Logic and Cubase. Built-in mapping presets also cover common effect plugins and virtual instruments. A sustain pedal input is provided for expressive playing.
The controller is class-compliant and powered over USB, so it needs no separate power supply and works as a plug-and-play USB-MIDI device. It can also be used with an iPad or other iOS devices through the Apple iPad Camera Connection Kit, which is sold separately. The software bundle includes Ableton Live Lite, AIR Music Tech Xpand!2, VIP 3.0 and the Touch Loops sample collection.
