The M-Track Solo is a 2-channel USB audio interface that records at 48 kHz. Its combo XLR/TRS input has a Crystal preamp with +48V phantom power for condenser microphones, and a switchable line/instrument setting for guitar or bass. A second 1/4" line input lets both inputs record at once, for example a stereo digital piano or drum machine.
Monitoring uses RCA stereo outputs and a 1/8" headphone output. A USB/Direct switch sets the balance between the zero-latency input signal and playback from the computer, which helps when adding parts to an existing project. The unit takes all its power from the USB connection, so no external supply is needed.
It connects to Mac, PC and iOS devices by a USB-B to USB-A cable. The software package includes the MPC Beats DAW, 80 AIR effect plugins, the AIR TubeSynth, Electric and Bassline instruments, and the ReValver guitar amp modelling plugin.
