The U305 IEM HP is a ready-to-use in-ear monitoring set made up of a metal-cased transmitter, a bodypack receiver and a pair of earphones. It operates in the 584–608 MHz band with 12 selectable channels and a transmission power of 10 mW. Stereo or mono operation can be chosen, and the stated range is up to 100 m.

The transmitter takes audio through combo sockets that accept balanced XLR and unbalanced 6.35 mm jack. Left and right input levels are set separately, and two LED chains show the signal level. The antenna is removable and uses a BNC connection. A 19" rack assembly kit is part of the set.

The bodypack receiver connects the earphones through a mini jack socket and shows channel, stereo mode and low battery status. It runs for about 10 hours on two AA batteries and has a controller for adjusting monitor volume during a performance. Any number of bodypacks can share one transmission frequency, and up to six systems can be used side by side.
