The V8 Series Five is a single active studio monitor with a front-ported bass reflex enclosure. It combines a woven Kevlar 8-inch woofer and a 1-inch silk-dome tweeter, driven by separate Class D amplifiers (280 W low, 175 W high) with a 1.9 kHz crossover. Frequency response is 63 Hz – 35 kHz (±3 dB) and maximum SPL is 113 dB.
On-board processing includes 49 preset boundary EQ combinations for compensating for room placement, seven fully parametric EQs plus delay, and three user presets that can be saved and compared in an A/B Compare Mode. Standby, ground lift, input sensitivity, logo LED and backlight are also adjustable.
The input is a Neutrik combo connector accepting balanced XLR or 1/4" TRS, switchable between analog and AES3 digital. All functions can be controlled wirelessly through KRK Mesh and the KRK Control App, either per monitor, for groups or for a whole studio. The enclosure is vinyl-wrapped MDF with a die-cast aluminium baffle, a removable grille and mounting bracket points.
