The KNS-6402 is a pair of wired, closed-back over-ear headphones using 40mm neodymium dynamic drivers. They isolate by up to 26 dBA, which limits spill into microphones during recording and cuts outside noise when listening. Frequency response is stated as 10Hz to 22kHz, and the calculated maximum SPL is 122 dB.
The housings are made from impact-resistant plastic to keep weight down. Acoustic cellular foam ear cushions with leatherette covers are fitted, and a self-aligning yoke helps the headphones sit correctly on the head. The ear cushions, headpad and cable can all be replaced, so worn parts can be swapped out without replacing the whole unit.
They connect through a detachable 2.5 m cable ending in a gold-plated 3.5mm stereo plug, with a screw-in 1/4" adapter fitted. A protective soft bag, an anti-microbial cleaning cloth and a user manual are included. They are in the same family as the KNS-8402.
