Korg SV-1

The SV-1 Black combines several acoustic piano sounds (Japanese grand, German grand, upright and others) with a collection of vintage electro-mechanical, transistorized, tape-driven, analog and early digital keyboards. The sounds are built with Korg's RX (Real eXperience) Technology. Effect pedals, amplifiers, speaker cabinets and studio techniques of the original era are also modelled, so each sound can be shaped as it was on the classic recordings.

The keyboard uses the RH3 Real Weighted Hammer Action. The whole front panel is live: labelled knobs control the sound directly, without banks, programs or menu diving. Eight Favorite settings can be stored for quick recall, like radio presets.

The body has a retro-styled cabinet with a matte black finish. A collapsible black stand (ST-SV1) and a rolling soft case are available as options. An editor/librarian program and sound packs exist for the series, and the page lists the EXP-2, XVP-10, PS-3 and PS-1 pedals as related accessories.
