PA1000

The Pa1000 is built around the EDS-X sound engine, which holds over 1,750 sounds including multi-layer stereo grand pianos, electric pianos from the SV-1, a digital drawbar organ and acoustic and electric guitars. Sounds can be edited with up to 24 oscillators per note, and the unit imports KORG, WAV, AIFF and SoundFont formats. With system version 1.5.1, user sample memory is about 960 MB of compressed PCM.

Over 430 styles come installed, each with four variations and matching Fill Ins and Breaks, and there are 1,152 user locations for new ones. Four Pads add riffs, percussion or effects. A built-in converter turns Standard MIDI Files into styles. KAOSS FX adds live morphing, note-crunching, tape delay and arpeggio effects. A TC-Helicon voice processor provides up to 3 harmony voices, and 148 effect types cover accompaniment and keyboard tracks. A guitar input has its own effects.

The XDS Crossfade Dual Sequencer plays MIDI files and MP3 or MP3+G files, and records performances as MP3. The SongBook stores full settings per song and supports Set Lists. Two stereo amplifiers drive four speakers. MIDI can be used over USB Host, USB Device and MIDI ports, and video output shows lyrics on an external monitor.
