Magnetune is a clip-free guitar tuner that holds on with a magnet. It can be fixed to the tuning pegs or the strap button, to any other metallic part of the guitar, or to a music stand, and it can also be carried in a pocket. A movable ring lets the magnet rotate through 360 degrees, so the display can be set at any angle, including on left-handed guitars.
LED indicators show the string number closest to the note being played. When the pitch is correct, the upper and lower LEDs both light. The upper LED blinks when the note is sharp and the lower LED blinks when it is flat, with the blinking getting faster the further the string is from the target pitch and slowing as it comes closer.
The body is 33 mm (1.3 inches) across and weighs 11 g with the battery fitted. Operation lasts around 30 hours on one battery, and an auto power-off function switches the unit off after three minutes of silence.
