KRONOS 3
KRONOS is a Korg music workstation with nine sound engines, a sequencer with audio recorder, and an 8-inch TouchView display. It is built for stage and studio players and is offered in 61-, 73- and 88-key versions.

KRONOS combines nine distinct sound engines with thousands of presets built on roughly 21 GB of waveform data. This generation adds 256 programs: 128 new ones, including an Italian grand and a tine electric piano, and 128 picked from the KRONOS Sound Libraries. The SGX-2 piano engine offers four grand pianos (Berlin, German, Japanese and Italian), with sympathetic string resonance and new Una Corda samples on the first three.
The 8-inch SVGA TouchView display handles sound selection and editing, with a Set List mode of 16 color-coded buttons and a nine-band graphic EQ. The panel has eight knobs, nine sliders, a joystick, ribbon, vector joystick and pedal inputs. The workstation section has a 16-track MIDI sequencer, a 16-track audio recorder, KARMA, Drum Tracks, Open Sampling and 16 effect processors.
The internal SSD has about 120 GB for user samples and optional Sound Libraries. USB ports accept class-compliant MIDI controllers and USB memory. Startup is 60% faster than on earlier models. The 88- and 73-key models use RH3 weighted hammer action, and the 61-key model has a semi-weighted action with aftertouch.
