Korg KROME

KROME is a keyboard workstation that combines a large sample-based sound engine with sequencing-style tools for stage and studio use. Its 3.8GB PCM memory holds full-length, unlooped piano and drum sounds derived from the KRONOS, along with newly designed electric pianos that use eight-level velocity switching. Drum sounds provide direct and ambient components that can be mixed separately.

The sound set includes 640 Programs and 288 Preload Combinations. A Drum Track function plays back ready-made grooves at the touch of a button. Operation centers on a 7-inch color TouchView display, set in an aluminum panel.

For connectivity, the KROME links to a computer over USB, and an SD Card slot is provided for data storage. A KROME editor lets sounds be edited on the computer. A bonus sound library is available for the instrument. It comes in an 88-key version and a 61-key limited-edition Platinum color model, which shares all specifications other than color with the standard model of the same key count.
