The Sub-12 is a powered subwoofer in the Synergy series. It uses a single 12-inch driver that fires downward, and it is rated for 300 watts of continuous power with 650 watts of dynamic power.
Bass integration with the main speakers is handled by a steep-slope low-pass crossover (24 dB per octave) that can be set continuously anywhere between 40 and 120 Hz. A phase control helps align the subwoofer's output with the rest of the system acoustically, so it can be adjusted to suit the room and speaker placement.
