RP-404C II

The RP-404C II is a sealed center channel speaker for dialogue and vocal reproduction in home theatre and stereo setups. A 1" Linear Travel Suspension titanium diaphragm tweeter sits behind a larger 90° x 90° hybrid Tractrix horn made from a silicone composite, with a vented tweeter housing intended to reduce standing waves. Four 4" Cerametallic woofers handle the lower frequencies.

The cabinet is shallow and sealed, so it can be installed in a wall or placed in confined spaces such as a fireplace mantle without bass loading against the rear surface. Extra internal bracing limits resonance and vibration. Finishes are ebony vinyl or walnut vinyl with satin-painted baffles and a scratch-resistant surface, and cork pads on the base replace rubber bumpers for stable placement on a stand or table.

Connection is through a redesigned input panel with aluminum binding posts and audiophile-grade wire. A magnetically attached, removable grille covers the drivers when a cleaner look is wanted. A spec sheet and product manual are available from the maker.
