The RP-240S is a surround speaker in the Reference Premiere range, designed to add surround effects to movie soundtracks in a home theatre. It pairs two 1-inch titanium tweeters, built on a linear travel suspension, with two 4-inch spun copper cerametallic cone woofers.
The tweeters are loaded by a 90x90 Hybrid Tractrix horn, which shapes the coverage of the high frequencies. The enclosure is made from MDF and has a baffle finished in brushed polymer veneer. A removable grille, described as strong and flexible, covers the drivers.
The cabinet measures 11.61 x 10.38 x 6.93 inches. A product manual covering the Reference Premiere speaker series is available as a download from the maker. Connection details, impedance, sensitivity and power handling are not listed.
