RC-64 III

The RC-64 III is a wood-veneered center channel speaker designed to anchor the front of a home cinema setup. A 1 3/4-inch titanium diaphragm compression driver sits in a compressed molded-rubber Tractrix horn with a 90° x 90° pattern. The horn pairs a circular throat with a square mouth, and the rubber construction damps harshness at high frequencies. A revised phase plug improves phase coherency at the horn throat.

Low and mid frequencies are handled by four 6.5-inch spun copper Cerametallic woofers, each in a cast aluminium frame to limit resonance. A 2 1/2-way crossover network reduces the output of the outer woofers at higher frequencies. This limits horizontal interference off-axis and keeps dialogue consistent across different seats.

The cabinet is covered in furniture-grade wood veneer, offered in Black Ash, Cherry and Walnut. The speaker is designed and assembled in Hope, Arkansas, USA. A downloadable spec sheet is available from the maker for detailed technical data.
