RC-62 II

The RC-62 II is a center channel speaker for home theater use, built around Klipsch's Tractrix horn design. A 1" titanium tweeter with Linear Travel Suspension is horn-loaded, and two 6.5" Cerametallic woofers with treated aluminum cones handle the lower frequencies. The design aims for high output from modest amplifier power and a wide, well-defined soundstage.

This fifth-generation Reference II model has re-engineered drivers and a new crossover with revised crossover frequencies, which are meant to improve on-axis and off-axis integration. The drivers are magnetically shielded, so the speaker can sit next to a TV without interference. The cabinet has a black woodgrain vinyl veneer, rounded feet and refreshed logos.

The cabinet is 8" high, 23.5" wide and 12.5" deep. Tiltable feet let the speaker be angled for placement above or below seated ear height. A spec sheet and a product manual are offered as downloads.
