The RC-42 II is a center-channel speaker designed to handle the dialogue and a large share of the soundtrack in a home theater setup. It is built to deliver clear speech and accurate placement of on-screen sound.
The high frequencies come from a 1-inch aluminum tweeter on a Linear Travel Suspension, loaded into a horn. Two 4-inch copper spun IMG woofers cover the midrange and bass and are described as high-output drivers. The cabinet is finished in a wood-grain vinyl and measures 9.1 inches high, 16 inches wide and 5.4 inches deep, a shape intended to sit with a screen or display.
