The R-8SW is a powered subwoofer built around an 8-inch spun copper injection-molded graphite (IMG) woofer that fires downward. The woofer is driven by an all-digital amplifier, and the compact cabinet is meant to suit smaller rooms where placement options are limited.
The cabinet is made of MDF and finished in a brushed polymer veneer. Adjustment is provided by a low-pass crossover and a phase control, which let the subwoofer be matched to the main speakers and to the room.
For connection, the subwoofer has line and LFE inputs, so it can be used with a stereo system or a home theater receiver or processor. A spec sheet and a product manual are available as downloads from the product page.
