R-50M

The R-50M is a bookshelf speaker in the Reference series. It pairs a 1-inch aluminium Linear Travel Suspension tweeter with Kapton suspension and a redesigned 90° x 90° Tractrix horn. The larger horn is intended to control directivity over a wider range of frequencies, giving a more accurate soundstage.

The woofers are 5.25-inch spun-copper Thermoformed Crystalline Polymer (TCP) cones, using technology carried over from the Reference Premiere series. The cones sit at a steeper angle, which is intended to give a smoother response and better accuracy and transparency.

The cabinet is MDF with a scratch-resistant, textured wood-grain finish. Fasteners are hidden, the horn runs edge to edge, and the low-profile grilles are magnetic. Matching speaker stands with a 28-inch height are offered separately. A spec sheet and a product manual are available as downloads from the product page.
