The R-15PM is a pair of active speakers that contain their own amplification, so no separate A/V receiver is needed. Each cabinet pairs a 1" aluminum diaphragm compression driver, loaded by a 90° x 90° square Tractrix horn, with a 5.25" copper-spun, magnetically shielded IMG woofer. Each speaker has its own low-noise amplifier, tuned to the drivers.
A wide set of sources can be connected directly. There is a pair of RCA inputs with a Phono/Line switch and a built-in phono preamp (with ground screw terminal), a USB digital audio input for a PC or Mac, a digital optical input, a 3.5mm line-level mini jack and Bluetooth wireless. This allows a turntable, TV, computer or phone to be plugged in without extra equipment.
A single RCA line-level output is provided for adding a subwoofer. A full-featured IR remote handles source selection, track control and play/pause.
