The R-12SW is an active subwoofer with a 12-inch copper-spun woofer that fires from the front of the cabinet. Because the driver faces forward, the unit can be placed with some freedom in a room. An all-digital amplifier drives the woofer with 400 watts of dynamic power.
Controls include a low pass crossover and phase control, which allow the sub to be blended with the main speakers in a stereo or home theater system. The cabinet is finished in a brushed black polymer veneer and measures 16 inches high, 14 inches wide and 18.5 inches deep.
Connection is through line-level and LFE inputs, which suit most AV receivers and amplifiers. A spec sheet and a product manual are available as downloads from the maker.
