The ProMedia 2.1 is a desktop audio system consisting of two satellite speakers and a separate subwoofer. The satellites use horn-loaded drivers built around the maker's MicroTractrix Horn Technology, and the subwoofer handles the low end. The system's stated frequency response runs from 31 Hz to 20 kHz.
A 200-watt digital hybrid amplifier drives the system. The aim is to fill a room with clear sound at a computer desk, whether for gaming, film or music playback.
On the connection side, the system has a miniplug input for connecting a computer or other source, and a headphone jack for private listening.
