R7 Meta
The R7 Meta is a mid-sized passive three-way floorstanding loudspeaker from KEF's R Series, combining a 12th-generation Uni-Q driver array with Metamaterial Absorption Technology and two 6.5-inch aluminium bass drivers. It suits stereo listening and home theatre setups driven by a separate amplifier.

The R7 Meta is a passive three-way bass-reflex floorstander. A 25 mm vented aluminium dome tweeter and a 125 mm aluminium cone midrange sit in a coincident Uni-Q array, with Metamaterial Absorption Technology (MAT) behind the tweeter to soak up rear radiation. Two 165 mm hybrid aluminium bass drivers handle the low end, with crossover points at 400 Hz and 2.4 kHz.
Cabinet and driver details include Shadow Flare around the Uni-Q to reduce edge diffraction, constrained layer damping inside the enclosure, and ports with flexible walls designed to limit turbulence and resonance. Magnetically attached microfibre grilles are included and the speaker is designed to perform with or without them.
The speaker is passive, so it connects to an external amplifier rated for 15 to 250 W per channel. Nominal impedance is 4 ohms and sensitivity is 88 dB. It can be paired with other models from the R Series for a multichannel home cinema system. Finishes include Black Gloss, White Gloss, Walnut and a Titanium Gloss Special Edition.
