The Ci3160RLb-THX is an architectural in-wall subwoofer for dedicated home theatre rooms. It carries THX certification at the Ultra and Select levels and is meant to deliver deep bass output together with full-range theatre sound quality.
Three 160 mm (6.5 in.) bass drivers sit on a large aluminium baffle. The enclosure is open-backed, with a quoted response of 20 Hz to 140 Hz (±6 dB), a sensitivity of 92 dB (2.83 V / 1 m) and a nominal impedance of 4 ohms.
The subwoofer has to be paired with KEF's KASA500 system amplifier. A single KASA500 can drive up to two Ci3160RLb-THX units, which suits larger or more demanding theatre setups. Installation needs a 660 mm x 209 mm cut-out and 88.5 mm of mounting depth from the surface.
