Ci160ER

The Ci160ER is a flush-mounted in-ceiling speaker that combines a 160 mm (6.5 in.) low-frequency driver with a 16 mm (0.6 in.) aluminium dome tweeter in KEF's Uni-Q arrangement. Mid-range and tweeter work as a single point source, so the sound stays consistent across the room instead of being tied to one listening position. Crossover frequency is 2.8 kHz and sensitivity is 89 dB (2.83 V / 1 m).

The Ultra-Thin Bezel (UTB) keeps the visible rim around the speaker as narrow as possible, and both the bezel and the magnetic grille can be painted to match the room's décor. The construction is weather resistant: the grille has a proprietary coating, the terminations and finish materials are moisture resistant and the plastics are UV protected, so the speaker suits bathrooms and kitchens.

Installation needs a 196 mm x 196 mm cut-out and 85.2 mm of mounting depth. The speaker is driven by an external amplifier rated for 10-100 W, and open-backed frequency response is 52 Hz - 20 kHz (+/-6 dB). Sold as a pair.
