Ci160.2CL

The Ci160.2CL is an in-wall speaker in KEF's Ci-C Series, which is positioned as an entry point to custom-installation speakers. It uses a Uni-Q driver array in which a 16 mm aluminium dome tweeter with a waveguide sits at the acoustic centre of a 160 mm (6.5 in.) bass/midrange cone. Both drivers therefore act as a single point source, spreading sound widely and evenly through the room.

The mounting depth from the surface is 84.5 mm, so it can be fitted in walls where deeper speakers will not go. Ultra-Thin Bezels sit almost flush with very flat grilles. The grille is magnetic, and both grille and bezel can be painted to blend in with the wall. The speaker is weather resistant, with a treatment against moisture and UV light, and carries an IP64 certification.

It is an open-backed 8 ohm design with a stated frequency response of 52 Hz–20 kHz (±6 dB) and 89 dB sensitivity. Recommended amplifier power is 10–100 W. It connects to a passive speaker amplifier or receiver; software resources are listed on the maker's Ci Software Download page.
