The Ci100QS is a small square architectural speaker designed to be mounted flush into a wall or ceiling so that it blends in with its surroundings. It belongs to the Soundlight Series, whose speakers are small enough to sit alongside halogen light fittings.
It uses a Uni-Q two-way driver arrangement with a 100 mm (4 in.) low-frequency driver and a 19 mm (0.75 in.) high-frequency driver, crossed over at 3 kHz. The Uni-Q design gives wide dispersion. Frequency response is 80 Hz to 27 kHz (±6 dB) in 2pi/open-backed installation, with 88 dB sensitivity and 4 ohm nominal impedance. An amplifier delivering 10 to 50 W is recommended.
Installation needs a 112 mm x 112 mm cut-out, and mounting depth without the back can is 72 mm. It is a passive speaker that connects to an external amplifier. Further setup details are available from the maker's Ci software download page.
