The CX202 is a home digital piano from Kawai's CX line. It uses the Responsive Hammer Compact II keyboard action, a triple-sensor mechanism with 88 grade-weighted keys, and plays sounds sampled across all 88 keys of the Shigeru Kawai SK-EX concert grand.

Sound is delivered through a 40W stereo amplifier and speaker system. Beyond the piano tone, the player can choose other instrument voices, record and play back performances with the song recorder, and work through built-in lesson pieces. Controls sit in a discreet panel in the cheek block.

For connectivity it offers Bluetooth audio and Bluetooth MIDI, plus USB-MIDI for computers, tablets and learning or music apps. The cabinet has curved side arms, sturdy toe blocks, a retractable key cover and a broad music rest that folds flat. At just over 40 cm deep it suits apartments and narrow spaces. Finishes are Satin Black, Rosewood and Satin White.
