The CA701 is a console-style digital piano that sits one step below the top Concert Artist model. Its keyboard uses the Grand Feel III wooden-key action with counterweights, intended to reproduce the touch of a concert grand. The sound engine is based on the Shigeru Kawai SK-EX concert grand, rendered through the SK-EX Rendering engine.

Audio is handled by a dual DAC system feeding high-specification power amplifiers and a 6-speaker system with 360° diffusers, designed for deep bass and clear treble. Operation is through a 5-inch touchscreen display. Built-in learning tools include a metronome and lesson functions with classical etudes and Alfred course books.

For connectivity, the piano supports Bluetooth V5 and USB audio recording and playback. The cabinet has a flat fascia and tall upper board to suggest the look of a grand piano, and it is offered in Rosewood, Satin Black, Ebony Polish and Satin White finishes. An AR tool lets buyers preview the instrument at actual size in a room.
