Yu6 Passive is the second generation of a passive bookshelf speaker pair. Each cabinet pairs a 5.25-inch abaca-reinforced paper cone woofer, intended to give voices body and bass weight, with a 1-inch silk dome tweeter for smooth, detailed highs. Rated power handling is 100 W peak (65 W RMS) per speaker, with a frequency response of 55 Hz to 22 kHz.
The cabinets are made of rigid MDF to limit vibration and have a laminate finish and seamless silicone trim. The base has a threaded ¼"-20 mounting hole for stands. Each speaker measures 7" x 8.5" x 10.7" (17.8 x 22.5 x 27.2 cm) and weighs 25.6 lb (11.6 kg).
The speakers have no built-in amplification, so they need an external amplifier or receiver that is compatible with 4-ohm speakers. They can be used for two-channel listening or as part of a home theater system. A Green colour is listed.
