WS-12

The WS-12 V2 is a front-ported powered subwoofer built around a high-excursion 12-inch driver with a 2.5-inch voice coil. A Class D amplifier delivers 500W continuous and 1000W peak power. Low-frequency response extends to 23 Hz (-10 dB, anechoic) and peak output reaches 123 dB SPL at 1 m. It is a revised version of the original WS-12 with electronic changes aimed at a better output signal-to-noise ratio.

The DSP section provides a crossover selectable in 5 Hz steps from 50 Hz to 110 Hz, gain adjustment in 6 dB steps for free-space, wall or corner placement, and a polarity reversal switch. A footswitch input bypasses the sub so the mix can be checked on full-range speakers. Settings also allow an external crossover or use as a dedicated LFE channel. One unit can handle bass management for up to five Kali full-range speakers.

It connects through stereo RCA inputs, stereo XLR/TRS combi inputs and XLR outputs. For live use it has carrying handles and an M20 threaded pole cup for mounting a PA speaker on top. Two units side by side give a system maximum of 129 dB SPL.
