The EON712 is a 12-inch active PA speaker from JBL's EON700 Series. It uses an upgraded custom woofer, driver and horn in a talc-reinforced polypropylene cabinet with metal grilles, and has a nominal 100° x 60° coverage pattern. Peak output is given as 127 dB SPL.
A 3-channel digital mixer is built in, operated from a backlit colour LCD. DSP functions based on dbx DriveRack technology include automatic feedback suppression, an 8-band output EQ with use-case presets and speaker delay. Music ducking lowers playback automatically when a microphone signal is detected. The JBL Pro Connect app (iOS and Android) allows settings to be adjusted remotely, and Bluetooth 5.0 handles wireless audio streaming.
The cabinet can be used as a main speaker or a floor monitor, pole-mounted, flown from M10 suspension points, or wall-mounted with the optional EON700 Universal Yoke Mount. Indexed feet moulded into the enclosure allow secure stacking and storage. The speaker weighs 14.5 kg.
