The Boombox 3 is a large portable Bluetooth speaker built around a 3-way system: a subwoofer, two midrange drivers and two tweeters. Output is rated higher on mains power than on battery, and the response range runs from 40 Hz to 20 kHz. The enclosure is IP67 rated against dust and water, with twin sidecaps, a metal handle with silicone grips and a fabric covering.
Wireless playback uses Bluetooth 5.3 and can be shared between two phones or tablets, which take turns streaming. A 3.5 mm input takes wired sources. PartyBoost pairs two compatible JBL speakers for stereo or links several for wider coverage, and individual volume can still be set on each unit. The JBL Portable app handles settings and updates.
The built-in rechargeable battery gives up to 24 hours of playback and takes about 6.5 hours to charge. The USB Type-A port works as a power bank for charging other devices; it does not play files from a USB stick. The unit weighs 6.7 kg and ships with an AC cord, quick start guide, safety sheet and warranty card.
