The pedal plays back Tone Models made with AI Machine Modeling, which recreate the sound and response of real amps, cabinets and pedals. It stores 20 presets onboard and works in A/B mode, where the footswitch toggles two presets, or in stomp mode, where it bypasses the unit. Controls are four knobs (bass, mid, treble and volume) with an ALT layer for gate, compression, reverb and gain, and nine assignable LED colors. Cabinet emulation uses VIR multi-IR with a custom IR loader.
Bluetooth links the pedal to the TONEX Control app on iOS and Android for editing, tone transfer and audio streaming, with access to the ToneNET library of 60,000+ community Tone Models and presets. A USB-C port connects to the TONEX Editor, carries USB MIDI, powers the unit and works as a 2x2 audio interface at 24-bit/44.1 kHz. Mini TRS MIDI input and output let the pedal be recalled and controlled by external MIDI devices, and two units can be paired for a dual-amp or stereo rig.
The pedal ships with TONEX SE, AmpliTube 5 SE and the Signature+ Collection of 100 premium Tone Models. It has one mono/stereo/headphone output and runs from a 9V DC supply (not included) or USB-C.
