TONEX Board is a multi-effects and amp-modeling floor unit built around IK Multimedia's AI Machine Modeling technology. It has two independent signal chains that can hold up to four Tone Models at once, so dual-amp stereo rigs, wet/dry setups, parallel chains and rigs with captured pedals in front of captured amps are possible. Up to 12 effect slots can be arranged with split-and-mix routing, and cabinets are handled with VIR technology or custom IR loading.
The unit ships with 2,000 Tone Models, 230+ factory presets for guitar and bass, and 76 effects in nine categories (51 from AmpliTube, 15 from TONEX and 10 new). A 5-inch colour touchscreen and six push-rotary knobs handle editing, while four footswitches switch between Preset, Scene and Stomp modes. Storage covers 1,440 presets arranged in setlists and banks, and firmware 1.1.0 adds a Safe Mode that locks all functions.
Connections include two stereo output pairs, a movable stereo effects loop that can split into two mono loops, four-cable-method support, 5-pin MIDI, two expression/footswitch inputs and a USB-C port. The USB port is used for updates and editor data, and works as a 4-in/2-out class-compliant audio interface. TONEX Modeler, TONEX Player, TONEX Board Editor, ToneNET access and AmpliTube 5 MAX are included.
