The ReoTube G2X is a true tube preamplifier for microphones and instruments. Its front panel has input gain with LED metering, an Enhance control, a Saturation control for adjusting harmonic warmth, and a built-in limiter for level control. An analog VU meter with an orange backlight shows the level. Switches cover 48V phantom power, a low cut filter and phase reversal.
Inputs are a balanced XLR microphone input and a 1/4" TRS input. A 1/4" jack lets an external processor be patched in. The main output is a balanced XLR line output.
An internal analog-to-digital converter feeds an S/PDIF output on a rear RCA connector, which sends 24-bit digital audio to hard disk recorders. The unit has a rugged aluminum chassis and uses ICON's Reo series racking system. Downloads include an English user manual, and drivers or software are listed for Mac OS X 10.4 to 10.10 and Windows XP to Windows 10.
