The PX-T6A G2 is an active two-way monitor with an active crossover and a bi-amp power module that drives the woofer and tweeter separately (80 W low frequency, 30 W high frequency). A transformer in the output stage is specified for a clean signal. It is intended for near-field monitoring in recording and broadcast facilities and can be used in stereo or multichannel configurations.
The 6.5" woofer has a polypropylene cone with a paper dustcap, a low-loss SBR surround, a progressive spider and a dual ferrite magnet system with an aluminum short-circuiting ring, all in a die-cast aluminum chassis. The 1" tweeter uses a soft fabric dome and surround with a ferrofluid-free magnet system. The enclosure has an extended, diffraction-optimized front baffle and absorbing material inside.
Sound can be adjusted with high, mid and low range contour controls, and a selectable high-pass filter offers Flat, 60 Hz or 80 Hz settings. A pair of the maker's Vasorb monitor stands is included with the monitors.
