The PX-T5A G2 is a self-powered two-way monitor built around a 5.5-inch polypropylene woofer with a paper dustcap and a 1-inch soft fabric dome tweeter. An internal bi-amp module supplies 60W to the low-frequency driver and 30W to the high-frequency driver, with an active crossover splitting the signal between them. An R-Type transformer is used to keep the output clean.
Tone can be adjusted with high, mid and low range contour controls, and a selectable high-pass filter offers Flat, 60Hz or 80Hz settings. The woofer uses a low-loss SBR surround, a progressive spider, a dual ferrite magnet system and a die-cast aluminum chassis designed for open airflow. The tweeter has a wide-dispersion dome geometry and a ferrofluid-free magnet system.
The cabinet has a diffraction-optimized front baffle with extended dimensions to limit enclosure vibration and sound radiation. The monitors are intended for near-field use and can be set up in stereo or multichannel configurations. Vasorb monitor stands are included.
