The PX-C5A is a compact two-way powered monitor from ICON's PX series. A 1-inch silk dome tweeter with a neodymium magnet, heat sink and ferrofluid cooling handles the highs, while a woofer with a copolymer butyl surround covers the lows. The enclosure is ported and tuned, and built from solid MDF.
A built-in bi-amp power module drives the low and high frequency drivers separately. The active crossover uses a multi-pole design intended to keep the response linear across the range. The cabinet is A/V shielded, so it can be placed near computer CRT monitors without picking up interference.
Inputs are an XLR balanced connector and an unbalanced RCA connector, suitable for both -10 dBV and +4 dB signal sources. Vasorb monitor rubber feet are included for decoupling the speaker from its surface.
