Eight-channel fader extender for the Platform M modular DAW control surface, usable alongside it or as a standalone fader bank. It suits home and project studios that want touch-sensitive motorized faders for mixing in a DAW.

Platform X adds eight touch-sensitive motorized faders with 10-bit resolution to a Platform M control surface. Up to three units can be attached to a Platform M, giving a 32-channel setup. It can also be used on its own as a fader bank when the transport section of the Platform M is not needed.
Each channel has a dual-function encoder (rotate and push) and illuminated Select, Mute, Solo and Record buttons. The unit uses the Mackie Control protocol for Cubase, Nuendo, Samplitude, Logic Pro, Studio One, Bitwig, Reason and Ableton Live, and Mackie HUI for Pro Tools. A Quick-Setup driver is offered for Cubase, Nuendo, Reason and Bitwig. Optional Platform D or D2 displays can show track names and parameters.
It connects over USB 2.0 high speed and is powered by an included 12V/2.5A adapter. The iMap software for mapping MIDI functions is included, and firmware can be updated over USB through iMap. The housing is metal with a Kensington lock port. This is a legacy device that relies on 32-bit software, so it may not work on all modern 64-bit computers.
