Platform B+ is a button-only DAW controller with 50 illuminated function buttons for plug-in parameters, tracks, busses, automation, display, markers and similar tasks. It can be used on its own through a separate USB connector, or linked to a Platform M+ through an expansion connector to add functions to that system.
It works with any DAW or application that supports the Mackie Control or Mackie HUI protocol, or through a MIDI user-defined mode. Mackie Control is built in for Cubase, Nuendo, Samplitude, Logic Pro, Reaper, Studio One, Bitwig, Reason, FL Studio, Digital Performer and Ableton Live, and HUI is built in for Pro Tools. Silicone overlays for these DAWs and a user-define layout are supplied. The iMap software handles MIDI Learn mapping for user-defined mode and also delivers firmware updates over USB.
The unit has a metal casing with a Kensington lock port and runs from a supplied 12V/2.5A power adapter. Bitwig Studio 8-Track and several plug-in bundles are included. The product relies on legacy 32-bit software, so it may not work with all modern 64-bit computers.
