The Nova is a large-diaphragm electrostatic condenser microphone with a cardioid pattern, aimed at vocals, broadcast, acoustic instruments and amplifiers. It ships with a suspension shock mount, a magnetic slip-on pop filter and a metal carry case.

Nova is a pressure-gradient condenser microphone built around a hand-built, double-sided 34 mm large-diaphragm capsule that is shock-mounted inside the body. It has a fixed unidirectional (cardioid) pickup pattern and covers 20 Hz to 20 kHz. It can serve as a main or supporting microphone for vocals, voice-over and broadcast work, acoustic instruments and guitar amplifiers.
The electronics use Wima capacitors and Fairchild resistors, and the body has an electroplated finish. The microphone is rated for a maximum SPL of 132 dB at 0.5% THD into a 1000 Ω load, with an equivalent noise level of 10 dB-A and a stated signal-to-noise ratio of 82 dB-A.
It connects through a 3-pin XLR male output and needs +48V phantom power, drawing 4 mA or less. A suspension shock mount and a magnetic slip-on pop filter are included, and the microphone is stored in a metal carry case. User manuals are available in English, French, German, Italian, Japanese and Spanish.
